Arrived at Wacca Wache Marina in Murrells Inlet. Trip took 3 1/2 hours from Bare Foot Landing Dock at Mrytle Beach. We traveled 9 knots. The weather was absolutely beautiful and the fall foliage on the banks of the ICWW are gorgeous. We're beginning to look for indiginous Palms and aligators. The scenery is slowly changing from what we are used to.
We decided to take a short trip today and so glad we did. It gave us time to clean out the back cockpit and take a great bike ride. I broke off a beautiful bright red magnolia seedling from along the side of the rode. Hope to plant it when I get back home as a remembrance of my trip.
The marina is nice and the people as well. Met a great guy with a '68 Candy Apple Red convertible Camaro in mint condition. Joey and he immediately struck up a conversation about guy stuff and rebuilding motors and don't forget boating too.
Russell came to pick us up for Dinner. He offers free rides to his seafood restaurant. He was a character and we enjoyed our conversation with him. The seafood at his restaurant was fresh and delicious. It was the best flounder I have eaten so far. Ricky, a long time employee, took us back to our boat in his mint condition '98 Cadillac. Thanks Ricky for the great ride.
Tomorrow we will leave for Georgetown, South Carolina.
