We departed this morning on our trip to Florida. Joey and I decided to take pictures of all bridges we pass under - like a right of passage - Ha Ha. Our first stop was Bare Foot Landing in Mrytle Beach, South Carolina. We averaged 8 knots and traveled 60 miles. Our docking went smoothly. We got great help from the dockmaster and his beautiful English bulldog - LuLu.
Dinner at LeGrand restaurant and a nice stroll thru the shops and boardwalk. Dinner conversation concensus was; "we have a lot to learn about traveling on a boat."
Tomorrow we have decided that we will travel thirty miles due to trying to set up the computer on the boat and get everything in working order.
Joey and I keep smiling and saying - Pinch me - is this real? We already are hooked on this way of life! It's for us. It was so sad to say good-bye to our dear friends and family. We have talked with most of these every hour on the hour today- Ha Ha. Love to all and our new motto is "Happy Boating."
